Councilperson Ball works to foster a positive and nurturing learning environment for all of our children through full day kindergarten. He encourages ongoing recruitment and training for teachers and administrators as this is necessary to create a thriving learning environment for our students. He also strongly believes that the addition of more youth related programs and activities will enhance the quality of life for our teens and youth. Even during challenging fiscal times, he continues to fight for funding towards renovations and improvements for our schools.
Calvin, also known as Dr. Ball, is a professor and understands the importance of continuing education. He strongly believes in encouraging life-long learning and career development opportunities including those offered through Howard Community College. He continues to collaborate with the Howard County Public School System, the Board of Education, our schools and our community because this partnership is vital promoting academic achievement and ensuring that all of our children continue to receive a top-notch education here in Howard County.
