Councilperson Ball has worked to improve the quality of life for residents of all ages. He has supported several projects and legislation that enhance our community including funding for parks such as Blandair Regional Park in East Columbia, Meadowbrook Park and Athletic Complex in Ellicott City, and Troy Hill Park in Elkridge. These parks give our children, families and neighbors a place to come together for recreation and environmental learning and growth.
In addition, Calvin has supported legislation aimed at creating a youth position on the Recreation and Parks Board. He understands that the feedback from our youth helps our Boards shape future recreation initiatives which not only satisfies our current needs but also the anticipated needs for generations to come. Calvin also supported legislation which allows placement of banners on playing fields which could permit acknowledgment and support of local businesses and organizations as well serve as a potential fundraising opportunity for neighborhood youth teams.
